Glufonix having Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% SL is a broad-spectrum, non-selective, contact herbicide used for effective weed control in a wide range of crops. It is especially effective against both annual and perennial broadleaf and grassy weeds, including those resistant to other herbicides.
This soluble liquid (SL) formulation acts quickly by inhibiting the enzyme glutamine synthetase, which is essential for nitrogen metabolism in plants. The disruption leads to the accumulation of toxic levels of ammonia in plant cells, resulting in rapid desiccation and death of the weed.
It is widely used in orchards, vineyards, plantation crops, and in non-cropped areas. It can also be used in crops that are genetically engineered to tolerate Glufosinate.
Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% SL
Glufosinate Ammonium inhibits glutamine synthetase, leading to the buildup of ammonia in plant cells. This disrupts photosynthesis and cell function, causing rapid cell death and weed control. It acts as a contact herbicide with localized activity at the site of spray coverage.
